Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an experienced SOC Manager to lead our Security Operations Centre team, overseeing 24x7 monitoring and incident response. You will combine cybersecurity expertise with people leadership, working across security engineering, incident response, IT and business teams to protect the organisation.

You will drive automation, develop playbooks and KPIs, and guide the SOC toward enhanced detection, investigation and response capabilities, while balancing budget and service

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in cybersecurity focused on monitoring, detection and response.
• Experience leading high-performing technical teams in global or 24x7 ops.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM/EDR/IDS-IPS, threat intel, automation and related tech.
• Able to influence across functions and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional certs such as GCIH/CISSP highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a SOC Analysts team for 24x7 monitoring and incident response.
• Oversee investigations and incident response activities with IT and other teams.
• Plan, facilitate, and review post-incident activities and tabletop exercises.
• Develop SOC playbooks, policies, and operating guidelines aligned with best practices.
• Drive automation and process improvements to elevate analyst efficiency.
• Create metrics and scorecards to measure SOC risk and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with security engineering and threat teams to improve coverage.
• Mentor talent and build a sustainable SOC pipeline; participate in after-hours rotations.
