Andresen McCarthy Partners in Melbourne seeks an SMSF Accountant to join their CPA firm and deliver proactive, personalised SMSF compliance services. You will work with Partners and senior staff to manage client work, mentor, and maintain a high standard of client care.

The role emphasizes building relationships with clients, identifying opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while supporting work-life balance and professional growth.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA qualification or being on track to qualify is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with Class Super is preferred; experience with BGL Simple Fund 360, SuperMate, or Mclowd will be considered.
• Around 3+ years of SMSF sector experience demonstrated in technical knowledge and compliance handling.
• A solid understanding of general tax matters supports accurate client advice.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills support clear interactions with clients and internal teams.
• Attention to detail and autonomy help ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Positive, hands-on attitude aligns with team culture and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Manage SMSF compliance work: process SMSF financial reports and tax returns using Class Super, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for every client.
• Build client relationships by liaising with clients during the compliance process and reviewing completed work to provide a personalised service.
• Spot opportunities and potential compliance issues to optimise clients' superannuation strategy.
• Collaborate across teams: maintain open communication with Business Services, Financial Planner, Auditor, and ATO to ensure a seamless client experience.
