Job summary

Moore Australia (WA) Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior SMSF Accountant to manage a portfolio of around 200 SMSFs, preparing and reviewing SMSF accounts and tax returns, and liaising with external auditors to deliver high-quality service to clients.

The role involves mentoring junior team members, providing technical SMSF guidance, and contributing to the growth of the SMSF division within our dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an SMSF specialist or in an SMSF-focused role within Business Advisory/Business Services.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing SMSF accounts and tax returns to a high standard.
• Experience using BGL 360 software.
• CA or CPA qualified, with SPAA/SSA qualifications highly regarded.
• Strong technical knowledge of SMSF compliance and taxation requirements.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to mentor and support junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 200 SMSFs with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review SMSF accounts and tax returns for clients.
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth review processes.
• Provide high-quality, trusted advice and support to clients.
• Mentor and develop junior team members within the SMSF division.
