Job summary

Cyber SMSF Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking an SMSF accountant to join our specialist SMSF administration team. You will prepare SMSF financial statements and tax returns, handle investment transactions, and ensure compliance across multiple funds.

The role offers a collaborative, cloud-based environment with support for ongoing professional development and opportunities to work with leading accounting practices and advisers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in SMSF accounting or SMSF administration.
• Strong understanding of SMSF legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing SMSF financial statements and tax returns.
• CA, CPA, or currently undertaking professional studies.
• Experience with pension funds, property investments, related-party transactions, and LRBAs.
• Experience working in white-label or outsourced administration environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SMSF financial statements and income tax returns.
• Process investment transactions including shares, managed funds, property, pensions, and corporate actions.
• Review fund compliance and identify potential breaches or reporting issues.
• Liaise with auditors and resolve audit queries promptly.
• Prepare pension documentation and member reporting schedules.
• Ensure all annual obligations are completed accurately and on time.
• Support accountancy firms and advisers through professional and proactive communication.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain compliance with superannuation and tax legislation.
