Job summary

Breight Group is seeking experienced SMP Supervisors to join our project delivery division. This permanent, full-time role offers exposure to a pipeline of SMP projects across multiple contracts.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate all SMP activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, while guiding and developing your team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary and/or trade qualification (mechanical preferred).
• Statutory S26 compliant.
• Experience in Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) construction or commissioning.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and codes of practice.
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and control SMP activities on assigned projects.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, health, environmental, design, and quality standards.
• Supervise teams to achieve production and completion targets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Identify and resolve technical, operational, and scheduling issues.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and accountable work culture.
• Coordinate with Site Management and other supervisors to ensure seamless project delivery.
