Job summary

Brightstar Resources is seeking an experienced SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) Supervisor to join the Project Delivery team at the Laverton Mill. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will ensure SMP activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.

This fixed-term contract runs through to project completion, supporting a major processing plant expansion. The role requires hands-on supervision with a strong trade background, experience in Owner's Team or EPCM

Qualifications

• Must have trade qualification in mechanical discipline (e.g., Boilermaker/Fabrication).
• Experience as SMP Supervisor on mining, processing plant or major resource projects.
• Experience in Owner's Team and/or EPCM environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of SMP construction activities.
• Oversee EPC contractor performance to ensure safety, schedule and specs.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors on site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
• Review construction progress against schedules.
• Identify and resolve construction issues to minimise delays.
• Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning and handovers.
• Foster a positive safety culture and lead by example.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, contractors, engineers and site operations.

We are seeking an experienced SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) Supervisor to join our Project Delivery team at theLaverton Mill.

Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will play akey role in the successful delivery of major project works,ensuring all SMP activities are executed safely, efficiently, andto the highest quality standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with astrong trade background and proven experience working within anOwner's Team or EPCM environment on large-scale mining orprocessing plant projects. This position is offered as afixed-term contract through to Project Completion,supporting a significant project delivery program at site.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of Structural, Mechanicaland Piping (SMP) construction activities.
• Oversee and monitor EPC contractor performance to ensureworks are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance withproject specifications.
• Supervise and coordinate BTR subcontractors on site.
• Ensure compliance with site safety standards, projectprocedures, and quality requirements.
• Review and monitor construction progress against projectschedules.
• Identify and resolve construction issues to minimiseimpacts on project delivery.
• Participate in inspections, testing, commissioningactivities, and project handovers.
• Foster a positive safety culture and lead by example in allaspects of site operations.
• Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, contractors,engineers, and site operations personnel.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Trade qualification in a relevant discipline (Mechanical,Boilermaker/Fabrication or related trade).
• Previous experience in an SMP Supervisor role on mining,processing plant, or major resource projects.
• Demonstrated experience working within an Owner's Teamand/or EPCM environment.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, mechanical equipmentinstallation, piping systems, and constructionmethodologies.
• Proven ability to manage contractor and subcontractorperformance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholderengagement skills.
• Sound understanding of safety management systems andquality control requirements.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritiseand coordinate multiple work fronts.
