Job summary

ALL VALVE INDUSTRIES P/L in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Smart Meter Operations Consultant to deliver and operate Smart Water services for customers. You will work across meters, NB-IoT connectivity, platforms, data and operational workflows to achieve customer outcomes.

You'll onboard deployments, troubleshoot issues, train customers and support pre-sales activities, ensuring seamless transitions from design to operations and building long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications

• IoT background with knowledge of devices, connectivity, platforms and data.
• Experience in water or digital water metering, including familiarity with LwM2M object models.
• Ideal if you have Temetra experience, or can be trained.
• Strong communication skills and enjoy working with customers.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and operating Smart Water customer environments and platforms.
• Supporting the provisioning, commissioning and ongoing management of digital water devices.
• Monitoring device communications, NB-IoT connectivity, data quality and service performance.
• Investigating device, connectivity, platform and data issues and coordinating their resolution.

IoT | Smart Water | Customer Operations | Service Delivery

We're looking for a hands-on Smart Meter Operations Consultant to help us deliver and operate Smart Water services for our customers.

This is not simply a platform administration role.

You'll work across the complete Smart Water service, from digital meters and NB-IoT connectivity through to platforms, data, operational workflows and ultimately the outcomes our customers receive.

You'll help configure and onboard new customer deployments, operate and support existing services, troubleshoot issues, train customers and contribute to the continued development of our Smart Water managed service.

You'll also work alongside our commercial and technical teams during pre-sales, helping customers understand how digital water technology can work within their environment and supporting the transition from solution design into successful operations.

What you’ll be doing

You'll take a hands-on role in the day-to-day operation of our Smart Water services, including:

What we’re looking for

You'll already have an IoT background and understand how devices, connectivity, platforms and data come together to deliver an operational service.

Experience in water or digital water metering is important, including an understanding of digital water devices and, at minimum, familiarity with LwM2M object models.

You'll ideally have experience operating Temetra. However, if you have strong experience operating another IoT, meter data management or utility platform, we can train you on Temetra.

Knowledge of NB-IoT, device provisioning and management, telemetry, meter data, platform operations and IoT troubleshooting will be highly valuable.

Just as importantly, you need to enjoy working with customers.

You'll be a clear and confident communicator who can explain technical concepts without unnecessary complexity. You'll be comfortable running customer meetings and training sessions, working through operational issues and building exceptional long-term customer relationships.

You take ownership. When something isn't working, you're interested in understanding why and seeing the issue through to resolution.

And you'll have a genuine commitment to customer success, understanding that a successful Smart Water deployment isn't simply about getting devices connected. It's about making sure the technology, data and operational processes deliver outcomes customers can actually use.
