Job summary

LP's Quality Meats in Marrickville seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily operations on the production floor. You will manage a small team of 4–6 and ensure smooth execution of the schedule across grinding, injecting, tumbling, smoking, cooking, cooling and packing.

Applicants should have proven supervisory experience in meat processing or smallgoods, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to food safety. A forklift licence is beneficial for this role.

Job description

An experienced, hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in our Marrickville facility. This is a working supervisor role. The successful candidate will be on the production floor and familiar in the use of knives, mincers, vacuum fillers, injectors, tumblers, smokehouses and vacuum packing machines.

Key responsibilities

Organise and direct daily production for a small team of 4–6

Execute the production schedule in consultation with management

Oversee mixing, filling, injecting, tumbling, smoking, cooking, cooling and packing

Monitor team performance, priorities and output

Supervise stock levels to support uninterrupted production

Maintain hygiene, food safety and operational standards in accordance with HACCP and factory procedures

Maintain a consistent standard of work

Adapt production plans as priorities change, while keeping the team focused on daily targets

About you

Proven experience in a supervisory or leading-hand role within smallgoods, meat processing or food manufacturing

Strong organisational and communication skills

Ability to take direction and deliver agreed outcomes

High personal work standards and the ability to hold others to the same

Practical competence with smallgoods production equipment

Sound knowledge of food safety and HACCP

Physically fit and comfortable with medium to heavy lifting

A professional, constructive approach and the ability to work effectively in a small team

Certificate III in Meat Processing (Smallgoods), or equivalent experience, will be highly regarded

Current forklift licence, will be beneficial
