Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a leading food manufacturing operation in South Australia. The role covers PM shift (11:00am–8:00pm) and requires hands-on leadership on the production floor to drive safety, quality and efficiency.

You will lead a team to meet daily targets, uphold food safety and animal welfare standards, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing, poultry or meat processing is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Understanding of animal welfare practices is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and people leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding production setting.
• Proficient with production or manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the processing team to achieve daily production targets and operational requirements.
• Ensure safety, food safety, quality and animal welfare standards are consistently maintained.
• Monitor production performance, identify issues and implement practical solutions.
• Provide hands-on leadership on the production floor to foster a safe and productive environment.

• Manage labour, equipment and resources to meet demand and maximise efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the processing area.
• Complete accurate production reporting and escalate issues as needed.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our client, a leading food manufacturing organisation based in South Australia. This position will be working across the PM shift, 11:00am-8:00pm.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading and supporting a production team to achieve daily targets while maintaining high standards across safety, quality, food safety and animal welfare. You'll be a visible and approachable leader on the production floor, working closely with your team to drive performance, resolve issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Your Background:

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing, poultry or meat processing will be highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety and food safety requirements.
• Knowledge of animal welfare practices is advantageous.
• Strong communication, people leadership and team-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding production environment.
• Good computer literacy, with experience using production or manufacturing systems advantageous.
