Job summary

Forest River Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to perform MIG welding and related fabrication tasks on aluminum and galvanized materials. The role requires precise machine setup, blueprint interpretation, and adherence to TPM practices.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be available for overtime. This on-site position emphasizes safety, equipment maintenance, and efficient fabrication workflows in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMAW (MIG) welding machines.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all welding procedures including machine settings, bottles, and necessary fittings.
• Set up and maintain welding machine (tip, liner, changes, etc.).
• Welding aluminum and galvanized metal and welding vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
• Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter.
• Grind and clean areas where required.
• Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed.
• Follow hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures.
