Job summary

Aerotek in Redmond, WA is seeking a Weld Specialist with MIG welding experience to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, set up and operate welding equipment, and produce high-quality welds while meeting safety and quality standards.

The role offers steady full-time hours, overtime opportunities, and on-the-job training in a lean manufacturing environment. This 12-month contract is ideal for skilled welders looking to advance their career with hands-on production

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of MIG welding experience or technical welding school training.
• Ability to pass a welding skills assessment.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow welding specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in a production manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel components and weldments.
• Load and unload parts into welding fixtures and workstations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Verify weld size, length, and quality to meet specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed weldments using measurements and quality standards.
• Arrange and fit parts according to drawings, fixtures, and layouts.
• Support production goals while maintaining safety and quality requirements.
