Job summary

JBS Australia is recruiting several Skilled Meat Workers for our Dinmore Plant in Queensland. This full-time role offers an annual salary not less than AU$79,423 plus superannuation and allowances.

You will perform boning, slicing, slaughtering or sawing duties, applying knife sharpening and quality controls while collaborating with teams to drive continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in boning, slicing or slaughtering/sawing duties preferred.
• Cert III Meat Processing is essential.
• Knowledge of quality requirements and rotations beneficial.

The JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere.

Located near Ipswich, in south east Queensland, the facility has a daily production ability of 3,400 cattle and employs approximately 1,500 people. Cattle are sourced from the finest cattle producing regions to produce a diverse range of pasture fed and grain beef products, from commodity to premium. The renowned AMH brand, the award-winning Yardstick, the highly marbled grain fed Pure Prime and our state's brand, Queenslander Beef and more are all produced at Dinmore.

About the Role

The JBS Dinmore Plant is currently recruiting several Skilled Meat Workers to join our Processing team in a full-time capacity. As a Skilled Meat Worker, you will be passionate about your specialist skills, and be committed to providing a professional service.

You will be prepared to show leadership qualities and provide support across the business to drive a culture of continuous improvement. This opportunity is ideal for anyone wanting to develop your skills within an industry leading, global organisation. This annual salary for this role is not less than $79,423.00 plus superannuation and with additional allowances and/or overtime.

About You

• Previous experience (ideally 2+ years) in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering/Sawing duties
• Relevant qualification (Cert III Meat processing) is essential
• Knowledge and understanding of different rotations
• Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
• Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work with supervisors on improving daily duties
