Allied Industrial Supplies Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Fitter to join our Sunshine West workshop. The role covers fitting, assembling, maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and machinery, reading engineering drawings, and working to WHS standards.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent recognised in Australia.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in fitting, assembling and repairing mechanical plant.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine job requirements.
• Fit, assemble and fabricate production machines and mechanical equipment.
• Set up and operate machine tools to shape and finish parts.
• Install and align machinery on site; test for faults and adjust as required.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records.
• Perform welding, cutting and fabrication as needed to support repair work.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in all the general duties and responsibilities of a skilled Fitter (General) including fitting, assembling, maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and machinery, reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, and maintaining a clean and safe workshop in line with WHS requirements.
