Job summary

Almighty Industries in Orange NSW is recruiting an experienced Fitter General to join our team. You will review drawings, assemble and examine metal parts, diagnose faults, and set up machining tools to produce equipment to spec.

Candidates should hold a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent, have at least 3 years in similar roles, and be able to work well in a team. Salary range $75,000-$90,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this role or similar.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and blueprints to determine suitable equipment and actions required.
• Fitting, assembling, and examining metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment, diagnosing faults.
• Placing controls on machining tools and pumping machines and equipment.
• Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
• Tests and adjusts machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

• Placing controls on machining tools and pumping machines and equipment.
• Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
• Tests and adjusts machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning

Skills and Abilities

• Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification
