Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a motivated Skilled Crew Member to join our Civil Works & Presentation team. You'll assist with the maintenance and construction of Council assets, including roads, footpaths and stormwater infrastructure, performing concrete and asphalt works, excavation and traffic management.

Essential: Class C Driver Licence, White Card and civil construction experience; desirable MR Licence and related tickets.

About the role

Working as part of a skilled crew, you'll assist with the maintenance and construction of Council assets, including roads, footpaths and stormwater infrastructure. Duties include concrete and asphalt works, excavation, traffic management, surveying, and operating a range of tools and equipment.

What you'll bring

Essential:

• Current Class C Driver Licence
• White Card
• Experience in civil construction or a similar industry
• Concrete finishing and/or asphalt experience
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Desirable:

• MR Driver Licence
• Certificate II in Civil Construction
• First Aid, Traffic Control or Confined Space tickets
• Experience in bricklaying, pipelaying or surveying

• Package: $60,887 - $64,405gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
• Hours of work: Working 38 hours per week. On a 9 day fortnight.
