Job summary

Vena Energy seeks a motivated Technician or Trades Assistant for our Tailem Bend site. The role supports safe, efficient site operations with a focus on HSSE, maintenance, and stock control.

You will work within a collaborative team and undertake vegetation management, reporting, and equipment care as part of the O&M program. The position is site-based, with responsibilities scaling to your skills and trade background.

Qualifications

• Completion of Year 10 schooling.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to maintain/repair equipment.
• Competent with power and hand tools.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
• Able to work effectively in a team and independently as required.
• Valid Class C Manual Driver’s Licence and unrestricted work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance management tasks, check sheets and inspection documentation.
• Help with vegetation maintenance plans and on-site vegetation management.
• Undertake basic inspections and repair of equipment and machinery on site.
• Perform preventative or corrective maintenance according to OEM procedures.
• Assist with stock management, spares audits and inventory control.
• Respond to incidents, outages and emergencies within competency and training.
