Job summary

Ventia seeks a qualified electrical technician to maintain telecommunications power and environmental systems across Toowoomba region and surrounds, including solar, standby generators, HVAC and battery systems.

You will work independently in the field, manage your workload and travel between regional sites, with a fully maintained company vehicle and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Current QLD Electrical licence is required.
  • LVR CPR and First Aid certification is required.
  • Drivers licence is required.
  • Construction white card is required.
  • Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Confidence working autonomously in the field.
  • Competent using digital tools and systems (Maximo, Microsoft Suite).
  • HVAC qualification is preferred or willing to undertake restricted licence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain telecommunications power and environmental systems (solar, standby generators, HVAC, battery systems).
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and fault finding.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
  • Support network operations across multiple regional sites.
  • Plan workload and travel across Toowoomba region and surrounds.

Qualified electrical technician

to support critical telecommunications infrastructure (power/solar systems, generators, hvac equipment) throughout Toowoomba region and surround areas including Dalby, Roma and beyond.

About The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that keeps communities connected. Your work will involve supporting and maintaining telecommunications power and environmental systems including

  • Telecommunications power systems
  • Solar power systems
  • Standby generators
  • HVAC and cooling equipment
  • Battery systems and associated infrastructure
  • Routine preventative maintenance
  • Fault finding and emergency breakdown response
  • Repairs, upgrades and network support activities Every day brings something different, providing exposure to a broad range of technologies and sites across the telecommunications network.
About You

You are a self-motivated technician who enjoys working independently, making decisions in the field and taking ownership of outcomes. You thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and enjoy travelling to different locations while solving technical problems ).

  • Current QLD Electrical licence
