Job summary

BINGO INDUSTRIES is seeking proactive Site Supervisors for its Burleigh Heads and Stapylton sites to lead end-to-end, safe and efficient operations at recycling facilities.

You will drive a safety culture, oversee plant performance, manage staff, and coordinate site activities to meet targets while maintaining a strong customer focus and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in fast-paced, highly regulated operations.
• Strong safety culture advocacy and incident prevention experience.
• Ability to develop and coach high‑performing teams.
• Knowledge of SEQ policies, procedures and licence conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first culture and ensure compliance with SEQ policies and licences.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, plant uptime and throughput.
• Manage stock control, waste sorting and resource recovery processes.
• Coordinate traffic and vehicle movements; ensure data capture and reporting.
• Deliver high levels of customer service and stakeholder liaison.
• Coach and develop team members and drive performance reviews.
• Plan activities to meet targets and drive continuous improvements.

About the Role

We are looking for proactive and safety-driven Site Supervisors to join our team, supporting our Burleigh Heads and Stapylton sites.

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end safe, efficient and compliant operation of a BINGO transfer station / recycling facility. You’ll be a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about building high‑performing teams.

You’ll lead from the front—driving a strong safety culture, ensuring operational excellence, and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and maintain a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all Safety, Environment and Quality (SEQ) policies, procedures and licence conditions

Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, including:

Performance and uptime of plant and equipment

Throughput and operational efficiency

Stock control (incoming and outgoing materials)

Waste sorting and resource recovery processes

Traffic management and vehicle coordination

Monitor all vehicles entering and leaving site, ensuring accurate data capture and compliance

Deliver a high standard of customer service, resolving issues professionally and efficiently

Direct and manage all visitors onsite, ensuring safe movement, induction and compliance

Lead, coach and develop team members, building capability and future leadership pipelines

Manage team performance, providing regular feedback and support

Plan, prioritise and coordinate site activities to meet operational targets

Proactively identify risks to safety and productivity and implement solutions

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency and site performance

Maintain site presentation, including internal and external areas

Act as the key point of contact for external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities (EPA, Council, etc.)

Complete reporting and administrative requirements in line with operational and compliance expectations

About You

Prior experience in a leadership role in a fast paced highly regulated operational environment

Experience effectively leading, developing and building teams

Working knowledge of fixed and mobile plant and machinery Demonstrated experience in the effective transfer and application of knowledge of principles to practices

Demonstrated experience in the application of workplace health and safety practices and procedures

Experience with the use of computer and a working knowledge of office software packages (MS Office)
