Job summary

Cranfield Group on the Gold Coast is seeking experienced Site Supervisors to manage multiple construction sites, travel as required, and take ownership of delivery, safety, and programme. Role reports to project delivery team across regional locations.

You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets and milestones, work autonomously on remote sites, and maintain QA and compliance. This role offers varied projects beyond the Gold Coast and requires travel.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction or equivalent experience.
• Site Supervisor's Licence and White Card.
• Proven experience leading site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong programming, planning and coordination skills.
• Sound safety, quality and environmental knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Driving programme and key project milestones.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
• Managing labour, equipment, materials and site logistics.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and scope compliance.
• Working closely with Project Managers on budgets and project performance.
• Maintaining site documentation, QA records and progress reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with building standards and legislative requirements.
• Managing safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Leading site teams and maintaining strong subcontractor relationships.
• Liaising professionally with clients and project stakeholders.
• Proactively resolving site issues to keep projects moving.

Gold Coast Based | Projects Across Multiple Locations | Travel Required

We are recruiting experienced Site Supervisors on behalf of an established Gold Coast-based construction business with a strong pipeline of projects across multiple locations.

This opportunity will suit a capable Supervisor who enjoys variety, autonomy and taking genuine ownership of site delivery.

While the business is based on the Gold Coast, this is not a Gold Coast-only site role.

Projects can be located regionally, remotely and interstate, so you must be genuinely willing and able to travel and work away from home as projects require.

The position specifically requires Supervisors who are comfortable travelling and working on remote construction sites.

The Role Reporting into the project delivery team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of allocated construction sites.

About You

We'd like to speak with experienced Supervisors who have:

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction or equivalent experience
• Site Supervisor's Licence and White Card
• Strong building/construction industry experience
• Proven experience leading site teams and subcontractors
• Strong programming, planning and coordination skills
• Understanding of site administration and project documentation
• Sound safety, quality and environmental knowledge
• Ability to work autonomously and make confident decisions on site
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
• Flexibility to regularly travel and work away from the Gold Coast, including remote project locations – essential

The position calls for a minimum of four years' post-apprenticeship or eight years' building/construction industry experience.
