Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment seeks an experienced Site Safety Coordinator to drive safety on a major infrastructure project in Southern NSW. You will coordinate site safety activities and support WHS system implementations across the site.

The role requires 4+ years in construction or tunnelling safety, strong knowledge of WHS legislation, and excellent communication with project teams and stakeholders. Tunnelling experience and OFSC credentials are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' construction and/or tunnelling safety experience.
• Experience across major infrastructure or complex construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety systems; audits, investigations and risk assessments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Tunnelling or underground construction experience highly regarded.
• OFSC experience highly regarded.
• Diploma in WHS or equivalent.
• White Card and driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site safety activities and resources.
• Provide WHS advice to construction and project teams.
• Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor and report safety performance.
• Ensure WHS systems and processes are implemented across site.
• Participate in construction planning and coordination meetings.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Promote a strong and proactive safety culture.
