Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the AGO GEO SPACES program. You will help deliver and sustain critical national security technology solutions in a secure environment, focusing on reliability, performance and resilience of mission‑critical platforms.

The role requires Linux/UNIX expertise, automation with Python/Go/Bash, and strong experience with IaC, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Experience as Site Reliability Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar.
Strong Linux/UNIX administration skills and problem solving.
Ability to automate with Python, Go or Bash to reduce manual work.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with modern tools.
Experience with monitoring, logging and observability practices.
Experience in virtualised or cloud environments (VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Ability to investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Support availability, capacity and reliability of complex production environments.
Provide Level 2/3 operational support, lead incident response and RCA activities.
Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting and logging capabilities with SLOs/SLIs.
Enhance automation and CI/CD practices for reliable deployments.
