Job summary

Aquis Search is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for teams based in Sydney (and clients in Hong Kong). You will drive automation, reliability, and performance improvements across systems and services.

You will collaborate with software engineers, perform incident response, instrumentation, and provide consultative support to other engineering teams, using Python and modern CI/CD practices to keep systems robust and scalable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems.
• Fully proficient in at least one modern structured programming language (Python preferred).
• Comfortable with a range of current software development tools and practices (testing, source control, build systems, CI/CD, etc.).
• SQL and database experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for solving problems.
