Job summary

Interspan is seeking a Project Engineer to translate design into safe, on-program site delivery across NSW. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll plan and coordinate day-to-day works, track progress and maintain quality, safety and commercial records.

Based at Chatswood head office with regular site visits, including travels across NSW. You’ll bring a Civil/Structural engineering degree and at least two years’ construction experience, ideally with specialist works such as

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Civil/Structural) required.
• Minimum 2 years' construction experience.
• Exposure to specialist works (post-tensioning, jacking, temporary works) highly regarded.
• Experience in construction methodology, sequencing and program control.
• Sound commercial awareness and disciplined record-keeping.
• Solid WHS knowledge and a proactive, preventative safety mindset.
• Confidence to work autonomously under pressure.
• Clean driving licence and own vehicle (essential).
• Permanent residency / full work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Delivering projects in line with the approved construction program and methodology.
• Preparing look-ahead programs, monitoring progress and flagging deviations early.
• Coordinating labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and deliveries.
• Preparing RFIs, resolving site issues and escalating where required.
• Maintaining site records to support cost control, variations, claims and EOTs.
• Championing safety across SWMS, ITPs, pre-starts, toolbox talks and WHS compliance.
• Driving quality outcomes and giving clear direction to supervisors and site crews.
