Job summary

SIMPEC is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join their construction team on a 3+ month contract, based on site at McArthur River Mine, Northern Territory. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, earned value analysis and reporting across assigned projects with on-site delivery and collaboration with the PM, CA and project team.

Ideal candidates have a tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline and at least 2 years of project controls experience on major construction

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or related construction discipline or considerable experience.
• 2+ years project controls experience with on-site planning, scheduling, progress measurement, earn value analyses and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Planning, Scheduling, Earn Value Analysis and Reporting for assigned projects.
• Develop and apply Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with PM, CA and team.
• Develop resource loaded baseline schedules in Primavera P6.
• Generate labour and non-labour histograms from the schedule and perform leveling.
• Perform weekly updates of project schedule and communicate changes to PMs.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules to support site construction.
• Set up and maintain delay and disruption reporting and input delay events to the schedule.
