Job summary

SIMPEC Pty Ltd in the Northern Territory is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join our construction team ASAP for a 3+ month contract on a 2:1 roster. You will lead planning, scheduling, Earn Value analysis and reporting for assigned projects.

You will develop WBS with PM, CA and team, produce resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedules, generate histograms, and provide weekly updates and look-ahead schedules to support site operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project controls experience on site construction
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or related construction discipline
• Solid understanding of project controls processes, Earn Value and critical path
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and progress measurement databases
• Experience on major construction SMP/E&I/Civil projects
• Site based experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, perform Earn Value analysis and reporting for projects
• Develop WBS with PM, CA and team for effective control
• Create resource-loaded baseline schedules in Primavera P6
• Generate labour and non-labour histograms and perform leveling
• Provide weekly schedule updates and flag delays to PMs
• Prepare look-ahead schedules to support site construction
• Set up and maintain delay/disruption reporting and input delay events
