Job summary

SIMPEC is seeking a Permit Coordinator to join the commissioning team for the Alcoa Pinjarra project. Site-based, Monday to Friday, commencing asap with approximately 8+ months duration.

You will manage the Permit to Work system, oversee permit registers, and coordinate with operations to ensure safety and compliance. You will bring substantial PTW experience, a strong HSE background, and a Warehouse/Workplace Health and Safety certification, with emphasis on effective training and collaboration

Qualifications

• Significant industry experience in managing permit to work systems across construction and commissioning.
• Experience on brownfield and greenfield projects.
• Strong understanding of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
• Incident investigation methodology (ICAM or Taproot) is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the Permit to Work system on the project.
• Continuously improve systems to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain permit registers and track details (work area, scope, equipment).
• Interface with principal PTW personnel and operations team.
• Verify permits are completed accurately and clearly identify scope and location.
• Conduct permit-to-work related training.
• Share information and observations with project leadership to standardise safety practices.
