Job summary

Rodpak, a leading pallet and timber packaging manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for our Hoppers Crossing site in Melbourne. You will lead safety, production, people and customer-focused performance, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.

You'll work closely with supervisors and teams to build a strong safety culture, drive continuous improvement, manage planning and costs, and maintain high product quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as an Operations Manager, Production Manager, Site Manager or similar.
• Leadership experience in manufacturing or hands-on industrial environments.
• Experience leading and developing supervisors and production teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety management in an operational setting.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling and workflow management.
• Strong commercial acumen with understanding of costs and performance.
• Experience in service delivery, planning and customer relationships.
• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant experience in logistics, warehousing or transport coordination.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety-first culture across the site.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors and production teams.
• Manage production planning, scheduling, workflow and site resources.
• Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency and performance.
• Monitor site performance and translate data into improvement initiatives.
• Maintain product quality and high levels of customer service.
• Manage site-based customer relationships and identify local sales opportunities.
• Manage operational costs and support site profitability.
• Coordinate feedstock purchasing and pricing for jobs and quotes.
• Identify and manage operational risks.
