Job summary

Rodpak, part of Hyne Pallets, seeks a Maintenance Technician in Melbourne to keep pallet manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll work hands-on across saws, conveyors, forklifts, nail guns, and automated systems.

Trade-qualified or experienced mechanic welcome; you’ll diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, install new equipment, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement with production teams.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical maintenance and repair experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Proactive troubleshooting and fault diagnosis ability.
• Good organisational skills and workload prioritisation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults quickly and effectively.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for safety and performance.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment is safe, functional and efficient.
