Job summary

GrainCorp in Roma West is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to work with the Site Manager and a team of grain handlers to ensure safe, efficient grain receiving, storage and outloading by road and rail.

You will coordinate daily workflow, develop relationships with growers and customers, and support planning and execution of maintenance, safety and quality activities during peak harvest periods.

Qualifications

• Supervising/leading teams experience or potential
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced operation
• Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day workflow of the team and support to attract, select, train and develop staff
• Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers and internal stakeholders
• Support resource planning for grain receival/outload during peak and off-peak periods
• Support maintenance, grain protection, safety and quality activities and reporting
• Supervise a large seasonal workforce during harvest across multiple sites
