Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking an experienced Sports Turf Site Manager to lead maintenance and presentation of a large sporting precinct in Western Sydney’s education sector. You will own a diverse portfolio of natural turf fields, ensuring year-round exceptional playing surfaces while leading maintenance programs and managing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent.
• Proven experience in sports turf maintenance with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of turf species, irrigation, renovation works, and turf health management.
• Experience operating and maintaining sports turf equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance and presentation of natural turf fields and surrounding spaces.
• Develop and deliver annual maintenance, renovation and recovery programs.
• Plan and oversee mowing, aeration, fertilising, irrigation, topdressing and turf health initiatives.
• Monitor turf performance and manage weeds, pests, diseases and wear.
• Manage irrigation systems and sustainable water strategies.
• Coordinate equipment, resources and schedules for high-quality outcomes.
• Build relationships with client stakeholders through regular communication.
• Lead onsite team and foster a safe, high-performing culture.
• Ensure all works are completed safely to standards.

About You

You're an experienced Sports Turf professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional playing surfaces and building strong client relationships.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent.
• Proven experience in sports turf maintenance, with leadership or supervisory experience highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of turf species, irrigation systems, fertiliser programs, renovation works and turf health management.
• Experience operating and maintaining sports turf equipment and machinery.
• Sound understanding of chemical application and best-practice turf management techniques.
• Strong planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach, keen attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Current Driver Licence.
• White Card.
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
