Job summary

Amida Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead multiple commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from $5m to $20m+. You will ensure delivery to drawings, specifications and timelines while coordinating on-site teams and subcontractors.

The role requires 5–10+ years in site supervision, a building qualification, White Card and First Aid. You will manage safety, QA, liaise with authorities, and maintain site facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a trade or building-related qualification.
• 5–10+ years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors
• Review and manage key project issues
• Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made
• Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained
• Organise all site inspections with client, authorities and consultants
• Assist Project Manager with preparing scopes of work
• Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works

A market leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their professional team.

Offering a range of services to their high-end clients, the company specialises in fit-out, heavy refurb and some new build of Corporate Office, Health, Education, Government, Hotels, Hospitality and Leisure sector projects.

Incorporating a wide range of skillsets, their refurbishment work can have a large element of structural trades, heavy demolition, facades, steel, and concrete (adding or removing levels etc).

Projects are commercial fit-out and refurb from $5m to $20m+ and are considered an employer of choice.

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple sites and making sure the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Trade or building related qualification
• 5 to 10+ years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites
• Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
