Job summary

Metricon Homes in Australia’s largest home builder is seeking a Site Manager to oversee a busy residential project around Tweed Heads. You will manage operations on site, ensure quality finishes, trades meet timelines and OH&S standards, and deliver defect-free homes for customers.

Collaborate with the Construction Manager, schedule trades, and drive site production while maintaining strong client relationships and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Site Manager in residential building.
• Ability to schedule materials and trades to meet site deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes and OH&S.
• Proven project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to build relationships with trades, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of New Home contracts and construction documentation.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Willingness to undergo mandatory checks.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for clients during the build stage and ensure the overall execution and quality finish of homes.

• Partner with your Construction Manager and coordinate with Clickhomes and trades as needed.
• Maximise site production by ensuring sub contract trade availability.
• Schedule and meet trades on site to maintain timelines.
• Resolve build issues proactively and liaise with customers.
• Review building practices to ensure quality and compliance.
• Ensure delivery of established cost management and project management practices.
• Foster a positive culture focused on customer service and teamwork.
• Hand over keys and settlement packs to customers.

• Partner with your Construction Manager and go through each of your jobs on your Clickhomes and be supportive to you
• Maximising site production by ensuring sub contract trade availability
• Scheduling and meeting trades on site
• Proactively resolving build issues, liaising with your customers
• Continuously reviewing building practices and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with and delivery of established cost management and project management practices
• Fostering a positive and focused culture where customer service and teamwork is paramount
• Ensure build qualities are to the highest standard; and

Requirements

• MUST HAVE experience as a Site Manager with the residential building industry
• Must have experience in doing frame write ups and know how to schedule materials and trades hitting site
• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated project management and organisational skills
• Solid understanding of OH&S regulations and quality assurance systems
• The ability to build trusted relationships with trades, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Experience managing client expectations and resolving issues professionally
• Knowledge of new home contracts and construction documentation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes; and
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to meet deadlines.
