Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a hospitality fit-out in North Sydney. You will lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate trades and suppliers, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage safety inductions, logistics, quality, and stakeholder communications to support a successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing commercial fit-out projects.
• Hospitality or retail fit-out experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and site logistics.
• Excellent subcontractor and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day running of the site and coordinating trades and suppliers.
• Ensuring works align with programme and project specifications.
• Maintaining site safety, inductions and WHS requirements.
• Monitoring quality and ensuring a high standard of finish.
• Coordinating deliveries, site logistics and access.
• Liaising with Project Manager, consultants, client and subcontractors.
• Identifying and resolving issues on site.
• Maintaining site documentation and reporting.

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established construction business delivering a high-quality hospitality fit-out project in North Sydney.

This is a great opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong fit-out background who enjoys working on detailed, fast-paced projects and takes pride in delivering a quality finish.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring it is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of the site
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades and suppliers
• Ensuring works are completed in line with programme and project specifications

About You

• Proven experience managing commercial fit-out projects
• Hospitality, retail, or similar experience highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing and site logistics
• Excellent subcontractor and stakeholder management skills
• A strong focus on safety, quality and programme
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the project
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Relevant Australian construction experience
