Job summary

Reitsma Constructions Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks a Site Manager/Foreman to lead commercial construction projects across the Sydney Region. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, safety, quality, and on-site problem solving, coordinating with labour, subcontractors, and head office.

This hands-on role requires strong communication, a proactive approach, weekly programming, delivery scheduling, and maintaining site documentation while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Reitsma Constructions, a well established commercial building company with offices in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong, is seeking a Site Manager/Foreman to work on our commercial construction projects in the Sydney Region. Our ideal candidate would be well experienced in managing building projects, preferably in the commercial sector. The position will require good communication skills.

The projects will be generally between 1-30million dollars, with the occasional larger projects. Our projects include education, churches, aged care, general commercial & industrial, heritage, interiors and automotive.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate that they can undertake the following on the day to day running of the site:

• Managing site safety
• Manage the day to day construction works on site.
• Have a hands on approach when it comes to resolving problems.
• Supervising and managing on site performance of labour/contractors and suppliers(Quality, time and safety )
• Weekly programming of works and allocation of labour.
• Order and schedule deliveries.
• Coding and approvals of invoices
• Management of site documentation ( Drawings / Specification etc ).
• Train and mentor junior site staff.
• Maintain on going site security.
• Liaise directly with head office regarding day to day construction matters.

The use of the following software is ideal, but not mandatory.
