Job summary

Downer is seeking a Site Manager at Loganholme Wastewater Treatment Plant to lead multiple projects across the site, coordinating Supervisors, project teams and subcontractors to deliver safely and with minimal disruption.

You'll oversee constructability reviews, estimating, scheduling and project development, then support commissioning and handover, building strong relationships with Logan Water operations and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' project delivery experience in construction.
• Experience with major water utilities.
• Proven ability to lead project teams and manage complex programs.
• Strong commercial management and contract administration skills.
• Practical leader able to build trust and align teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the safe and efficient delivery of multiple projects across Loganholme WWTP.
• Lead and develop Site Supervisors, project teams and self-perform delivery crews.
• Coordinate priorities and schedules across a busy operational treatment plant.
• Build strong working relationships with Logan Water operations, project teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor safety, quality, cost, schedule and site performance, intervening early when needed.
• Incorporate practical construction thinking into constructability reviews, estimating and scheduling.
• Support commissioning, handover and operational acceptance of completed assets.

Job description

The opportunity

This is a Site Manager role with real ownership.

Based at Loganholme Wastewater Treatment Plant, you'll take the lead across multiple projects and work fronts, bringing together Supervisors, project teams, self-perform crews and subcontractors to deliver safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

You'll have visibility across the full project lifecycle. As well as leading construction delivery, you'll contribute your practical expertise during constructability reviews, estimating and project development, then support commissioning, handover and operational acceptance once the job is built.

Just as importantly, you'll build the team around you. We're looking for someone who can create accountability, develop strong Supervisors and build trusted relationships with Logan Water operations and project stakeholders.

If you like being close enough to the work to make things happen, but senior enough to influence how an entire site performs, this one's worth a conversation.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 10 years' project delivery experience within construction
• Experience working with major water utility providers
• Extensive experience leading project teams, Supervisors, subcontractors and self-perform crews
• Confidence managing complex programs, schedules, budgets and competing site priorities
• Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration
• A practical leader who can build trust, have the tough conversations and bring people together around a common outcome
• Certificate IV in Building & Construction, Frontline Management, Leadership & Management or equivalent is preferred
