Job summary

Alcoa Australia is seeking a Learning & Development Co-ordinator to join our Portland Aluminium team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver site-based training, coordinate learning programs and maintain competency systems to support safety and employee development.

You will work closely with leaders and operational teams to improve capability, ensure compliance, and promote a strong learning culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training, assessments and competency-based learning programs.
• Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems and maintaining training records.
• Ability to work with operational teams and support safety training within industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Delivering training, assessments and competency-based learning programs.
• Coordinating mobile equipment training, compliance requirements and employee development initiatives.
• Maintaining training records, competency data and LMS accuracy.
• Supporting trainers, leaders and subject matter experts to build workforce capability.
• Reviewing and improving training materials, systems and learning processes.
• Promoting a strong learning culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring training activities comply with site, company and legislative requirements.
• Providing guidance on training, competency and workforce development needs.
