Job summary

Martinus in Wagga Wagga, NSW is seeking a Site Engineer to support our Inland Rail flagship project. Based on site, you will work across civil or structures with a focus on field delivery and compliance.

This major project involves multiple disciplines and tight interfaces with subcontractors and stakeholders. You will interpret drawings, supervise field staff, coordinate surveys, scheduling and quality control, and ensure HS&E standards.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
Post-graduate experience in a construction/engineering environment is desirable (civil or rail).
Strong planning and organising of work schedules; clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control functions for all activities at site.
Implement the inspection and test requirements of the Project Execution Plan.
Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel.
Participate in bid evaluation of field subcontracts.
Provide general technical assistance to supervisory staff.
Maintain the project document control and filing systems.
Maintain systems for and perform field progress evaluation and compare actual with planned progress.
Complete punch lists and P&ID checks for distribution to functional areas.
