Job summary

Lendlease Construction in Canberra is seeking a Site Engineer to support on-site execution, planning, and collaboration with trade subcontractors to deliver a major construction project.

You will interpret drawings, maintain quality records, monitor safety, and coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Must have 2+ years in construction, ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Baseline Security Clearance
• Minimum 2+ years in the construction industry
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and project documents.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and industry standards/regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.
• Commitment to safety and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, supervision, and execution of construction activities on site.
• Interpret and implement engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and safety compliance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Conduct quality control checks and testing of materials and workmanship to ensure standards are met.
