Job summary

Core Building Group (ACT) Pty Limited – Canberra ACT is seeking a Site Engineer to provide administrative, contractual and site coordination support for multi-unit residential projects. You will work with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel, contributing to procurement, documentation and contract administration.

The role requires at least 2 years in construction or related roles, strong organisation, communication and a proactive, safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting project procurement, subcontractor and supplier administration, including onboarding, documentation and change management.
  • Assisting with contract administration, including claims, variations, extensions of time and financial administration.
  • Supporting project financial management and reporting, including Jobpac administration.
  • Establishing and maintaining project files, registers and document control systems, ensuring documentation is appropriately prepared, reviewed and issued.
  • Coordinating information for stakeholder progress meetings, including preparation and submission of PCG reports.
  • Assisting with site coordination, including deliveries, scope identification and coordination with site staff and subcontractors.
  • Supporting WHS and quality requirements, including site inspections, toolbox talks and ITPs.
  • Assisting with project close-out and approvals, including Development and Building Approvals, defects, Certificates of Occupancy and O&M manuals.

Reporting to the Project Engineer and Project Manager, the Site Engineer will provide administrative, contractual and site coordination support to assist with the successful delivery of projects.

This is a varied role that will give you exposure to the commercial, documentation and construction aspects of multi-unit residential projects, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline, or currently working towards a relevant qualification
