Job summary

Aequalis Consulting Pty is seeking a Site Engineer for an energy and infrastructure project in Queensland. This role offers hands-on experience on technically challenging site works, exposure to planning, scheduling, and reporting, and the opportunity to grow toward Project Engineering.

You will work on a FIFO roster from Brisbane, receive mentorship from senior engineers, and contribute to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar)
• 1–3 years’ site-based experience in construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
• Confident communicator who enjoys working in a team environment
• Willingness to live the FIFO lifestyle (19:9 roster)

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordination of site works
• Support the Project Engineers with cost forecasting, procurement, and quality reporting
• Liaise with subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Maintain daily records, assist with progress claims, and contribute to weekly/monthly reporting
• Be a key part of a supportive team delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget
