Job summary

UGL Limited is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our site-based project delivery team on a FIFO roster in Queensland. You will coordinate mechanical construction activities onsite, review drawings, manage subcontractors and ensure safe, on-time and on-budget delivery.

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager, you will support planning, cost control, quality standards and progress reporting, while building strong relationships with clients and suppliers across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a Project Engineer on construction/mining/energy/renewables/industrial projects.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site-based workforces.
• Understanding of project controls, scheduling and cost management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise mechanical construction activities onsite.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient completion.
• Monitor progress against schedule and assist with recovery planning.
• Review engineering drawings, specs and technical documentation.
• Prepare work packs, construction methodologies and project reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements, specifications and standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Support procurement and material management for timely delivery.
