Job summary

Aequalis Consulting Pty is seeking a Quality Advisor to support delivery of a major gas infrastructure program in the Surat Basin. Working on a 14:7 FIFO roster from Brisbane, you’ll be embedded in a high-performing construction team to ensure compliance with engineering specs, QA frameworks and client standards across all project phases.

This hands-on, site-based role suits someone who thrives on field quality control on fast-paced pipeline projects and can drive continuous improvement in QA

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of quality experience on pipelines, infrastructure or energy projects.
• Proven QA/QC documentation and reporting experience in construction.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (AS2885, ISO 9001, API 1104).
• Strong attention to detail and proactive risk identification.
• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams and site staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day implementation of ITPs and hold points on-site.
• Conduct inspections and audits of welding, trenching, pipe laying and reinstatement.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs and codes (AS/NZS, API, ISO).
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions and QA reporting workflows.
• Liaise with engineers and subcontractors to maintain quality compliance.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation for client handover packs.
