Job summary

State Asphalt Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for our Prestons, NSW projects. You will oversee civil delivery and infrastructure works, coordinating with project managers, clients and subcontractors to meet objectives on time and within budget.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, a minimum of 3 years’ site engineering experience, and sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in civil/construction.
• Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to meet objectives on time and within budget.
• Interpreting design drawings, specifications, and engineering documents to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Conducting site inspections and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Preparing daily reports, progress updates, and other documentation to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
• Providing technical support and guidance to construction teams, suggesting process improvements where necessary.
• Collaborating with the design team to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
