Job summary

Webuild is seeking Building Site Engineers for Parklife Metro to join our Orchard Hills, Luddenham & Badgerys Creek team. You will plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, and manage subcontractors across a major rail project.

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering qualification is required.
• 2+ years as an engineer on a construction project, preferably delivery stations or large-scale infra.
• Experience delivering large-scale, complex projects with top-tier contractors is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and related tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Identify challenges early and drive development of solutions.
• Liaise with foreman and subcontractors daily to achieve targets.
• Prepare ITPs, submittals and manage RFIs.
• Track project expenditures to manage costs and avoid overruns.
• Prepare procurement documentation for subcontractors and suppliers.

Parklife Metro JV is leading the delivery of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project, a landmark transport initiative that will link St Marys to Bradfield and seamlessly connect with the new Western Sydney Airport.

The Opportunity:

Employed by Webuild , Parklife Metro is seeking building Site Engineers to join our team based at Orchard Hills, Luddenham &Badgerys Creek.

As a Site Engineer, your role is to plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements
• Identify in advance project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions
• Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes
• Prepare ITPs, material submittals and manage RFIs
• Assist in tracking project expenditures to help manage costs and avoid budget overruns
• Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist in the preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports, lookahead programs, etc. as required .
• Monitor the progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer as necessary.
• Ensure project delivery is compliant with project and quality standards , including all relevant documentation

Criteria:

• Relevant Tertiary qualification in Engineering
• 2+ years working as an engineer on a construction project - preferrable experience in delivery stations, vertical or commercial structures
• E xperience in delivering large-scale, complex building or infrastructure projects with top-tier contractors
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
