Job summary

Parklife Metro JV is seeking Building Site Engineers to join our team at Orchard Hills, Luddenham and Badgerys Creek for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project. You will plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, and interface with design management and delivery teams.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree and 2+ years of construction site experience, with strong communication and cost-management skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• 2+ years as an engineer on a construction project.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects with top-tier contractors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Identify project challenges and develop solutions.
• Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes.
• Prepare ITPs, material submittals and manage RFIs.
• Assist in tracking project expenditures to help manage costs and avoid budget overruns.
• Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist in the preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports, lookahead programs, etc. as required.
• Monitor progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer as necessary.
• Ensure project delivery is compliant with project and quality standards, including all relevant documentation.
• Monitor progress and quality of works to ensure costs are within or below budget, and contribute to project targets.

About the Project: Parklife Metro JV is leading the delivery of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project, a landmark transport initiative that will link St Marys to Bradfield and seamlessly connect with the new Western Sydney Airport.

As a Site Engineer, your role is to plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery teams.

• Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements

Criteria:

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
