Job summary

Georgiou, now part of STRABAG SE, is seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join a road widening project in Queensland. You’ll support the Project Manager, coordinate field programs and help deliver safe, high-quality civil works.

You’ll bring solid site experience in civil construction, familiarity with project management plans, toolbox meetings, and labour and materials control. MRTS knowledge is a plus; mentoring junior engineers is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Site Engineer in civil construction.
• Knowledge of implementing and monitoring project management plans.
• Experience coordinating toolbox meetings, inductions, and safety programs.
• Proven ability to manage labour, plant and material controls.
• Experience on road widening, drainage, pavements and bulk earthworks.
• Ability to manage costs, quality and programme while mentoring engineers.
• Experience delivering structures, civils, or buildings.
• Knowledge of MRTS specifications (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in meeting contractual requirements and site targets.
• Produce short term programs with resource levels for assigned area.
• Ensure equipment, materials and resources are available to meet the works program.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, pre-starts, inductions, JHAs, Take 5s and safety programs.
• Assist in invoicing, cost processing and productivity reporting.

What You’ll Do (but Not Limited To)

• Assist the Project Manager in fulfilling the contractual requirements and site targets across all project business functions
• Produce short term programs including resource levels for an assigned area of a project
• Assist in ensuring all equipment, materials and resources are available on or ahead of time to achieve the works program
• Participates in and actively contributes to toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions, JHA's, Take 5's and work methods and practices and other forms of safety programs
• Assist in the allocation and processing of invoices and costs and produce productivity reports and analysis as required

What You’re Good At

• Demonstrated experience working as a Site Engineer in the civil construction industry
• A working knowledge of implementing and monitoring project management plans
• Experience in coordinating and/or running toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices
• Proven experience in managing a control system for labour, plant and material
• Experience in road widening projects, drainage, pavements and bulk earthworks
• Demonstrated experience in managing costs, quality, programme and mentoring upcoming engineers
• Proven ability to deliver construction across structures, civils or buildings.
• Strong Knowledge across MRTS specification (desirable)
• You will have experience with civil and/or structural engineering principles across varies mid/high value projects.
