Job summary

Georgiou, now part of STRABAG SE, is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join an established, high-performing team on a civils road widening project. Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and strong planning/management abilities.
• Experience in road widening projects, drainage, pavements and bulk earthworks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage costs, quality, programmes and mentor engineers.
• Experience delivering construction across structures, civils or buildings.
• Knowledge of MRTS specifications and civil/structural engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction-related aspects meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Maintain contractual schedule/program, productivity units and extensions of time.
• Engage and manage subcontractors from tender to scope delivery.
• Monitor and report task productivity, financial outcomes and cost control.
• Provide daily support, team supervision and feedback to field operations.
• Ensure project HSEQ objectives are set and adhered to for safety culture.

What You'll Do (but Not Limited To)

• Ensure construction-related aspects of the project meet or exceed the required performance targets in relation to time, cost and quality
• Maintain our contractual schedule/program, including productivity units and extension of time
• Engagement and management of subcontractors from tender to scope delivery in a way to embodies our vision to be 'the best people to work with'
• Monitor and report on task productivity, financial outcomes and performing cost control to ensure project targets are optimised
• Provide daily support, team supervision and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company set performance criteria
• Ensure project HSEQ objectives are set, shared and adhered to maintain an exemplary safety culture aligned to the values of 'Safety is My Way'

What You're Good At

• Aside from having relevant tertiary qualifications and similar project experience, you're driven and confident in your management and planning abilities with both contractors/suppliers and project compliance as well as possess high standards in managing safety, quality and environment.
• Experience in road widening projects, drainage, pavements and bulk earthworks
• Demonstrated experience in managing costs, quality, programme and mentoring upcoming engineers
• Proven ability to deliver construction across structures, civils or buildings.
• Strong Knowledge across MRTS specification
• You will have experience with civil and/or structural engineering principles across varies mid/high value projects.
