Job summary

BMD Group is seeking experienced Site Engineers to deliver road infrastructure projects in Western Sydney. You will coordinate construction activities, manage technical and quality requirements, and work with project teams to keep programs, budgets and safety on track.

• Experience delivering road infrastructure projects in Australia.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, site activities and resources.
• Knowledge of road construction methodologies, quality systems and project controls.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and environmental outcomes.
• Willingness to work across Western Sydney locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily construction activities, subcontractors and site resources.
• Manage RFIs, ITPs, quality records and project documentation.
• Support construction planning, programming and procurement.
• Monitor site productivity, costs, progress and subcontractor performance.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Contribute to cost tracking, forecasting and project reporting.
• Resolve technical and construction issues with the wider project team.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Support the safe, timely and commercially successful delivery of roadworks.

About The Role

We are seeking experienced Site Engineers to support the delivery of road infrastructure projects across the Western Sydney region. Working alongside Project Engineers, Project Managers and site teams, you will coordinate construction activities, manage technical and quality requirements, and help deliver projects safely, on programme and within budget. This opportunity is suited to engineers with at least three years’ post-graduate experience and demonstrated success delivering road infrastructure projects in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• coordinate daily construction activities, subcontractors and site resources

• support construction planning, programming and procurement

About You

You are a proactive civil engineer with strong Australian road construction experience and the ability to coordinate people, technical requirements and site activities. To be considered, you will have:

• a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
• a minimum of three years’ post-graduate civil construction experience
• demonstrated experience delivering road infrastructure projects in Australia
• experience coordinating subcontractors, site activities and construction resources
• knowledge of road construction methodologies, quality systems and project controls
• the ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation

• capacity to work across project locations within Western Sydney.
