Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a mechanically minded Site Engineer for a contract opportunity in Brisbane, working across water, wastewater or infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate site activities, review drawings, manage QA documentation, and support the Project Manager to deliver works safely and on program. The role offers hands-on field experience on pump stations, water treatment assets and related infrastructure, with potential for ongoing contracts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 2+ years’ Site/Project Engineering experience.
• Experience in water, wastewater or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across live construction projects
• Review engineering and construction drawings for buildability
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site activities
• Assist with procurement and tracking of materials and equipment
• Manage QA documentation including ITPs, ITCs and inspections
• Raise and manage RFIs and technical queries
• Assist with project programming, cost tracking and reporting
• Monitor construction progress and ensure works are delivered to specification
• Liaise with design teams, consultants, suppliers and project stakeholders
• Provide hands-on engineering support during construction and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental requirements

Are you a mechanically minded Site Engineer with experience across water, wastewater or infrastructure projects?

Design & Build have partnered with a leading specialist in water and wastewater solutions to find an experienced Site Engineer for a contract opportunity in Brisbane.

Location: Brisbane, QLD

Type: Contract

Duration: Initial contract with potential for further work

Rate: Negotiable based on experience

About the Role:

As Site Engineer, you’ll support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, working closely with the Project Manager, site team, subcontractors and design consultants.

The role will have a strong focus on site coordination, technical support, QA, documentation and ensuring works are delivered safely and to program.

Projects can include pump stations, odour control systems, water treatment assets and associated infrastructure.

About You

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
• 2+ years’ Site/Project Engineering experience
• Experience within water, wastewater, civil or infrastructure projects highly regarded
• Strong understanding of engineering and construction drawings
• Experience with QA, ITPs, RFIs and site documentation
• Confident coordinating subcontractors and working with site teams
• Mechanically minded with strong problem solving skills
• Able to work across multiple work fronts and hit the ground running
• Experience with 3D modelling software such as Inventor or SolidWorks highly advantageous
