Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Site Coordinator for Cadia Mine Site, NSW. You will oversee on-site machinery operations, coordinate with the customer’s teams, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

The role requires a mechanical trade qualification, underground mining experience, and strong stock control. A 9-day fortnight roster applies with 11-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical trade qualification or mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Experience in underground mining is preferred.
  • Stock and inventory control experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to customer’s maintenance team and Sandvik Field Service team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes.
  • Coordinate Sandvik Field Service requirements.
  • Assist in identifying and processing warranty claims.
  • Coordinate site-based stock room management including parts receipt and issue.
  • Work with Planners to schedule and prioritise work according to PPX strategy.
  • Coordinate component repair planning with Sandvik PSSR’s and workshops.
  • Complete on-site and off-site inspection processes as per Site requirements including Plant Safety File auditing.

About the Opportunity

The Site Coordinator will oversee the operation of Sandvik's on-site machinery and procedures, collaborating intimately with our clients to secure mutually beneficial financial results. This role requires adherence to on-site protocols, safety and environmental standards, mining legislation, Australian regulations, and the stipulations of our contracts.

The role is based at Cadia Mine site. The role will involve liaising daily with the customer’s maintenance, supervision, planning and technical teams, coordinating parts, providing technical support, conducting repairs and any additional field service support resources in line with the customer’s maintenance requirements.

Roster:9-day fortnight; Monday – Friday Roster (11 hour shifts)

Areas of responsibility

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the customer’s maintenance team and Sandvik Field Service team.

Your profile

A mechanical trade qualification or mechanical aptitude is essential for this role along with experience in underground mining.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, customer service focused and have previous stock and inventory control experience. Knowledge of Sandvik’s underground equipment product lines would be a distinct advantage.
